Pilates

 

Pilates offers a multitude of benefits, making it suitable for individuals at various life stages and with diverse health conditions. This dynamic practice not only builds strength and functionality but also enhances body awareness. It serves as an especially effective clinical tool for facilitating recovery during critical periods such as pregnancy, postpartum, post-surgery, or when managing prolapse issues.

I have been integrating Pilates into rehabilitation programs since 2011. Additionally, I have taught small group reformer classes at my previous physiotherapy clinic and Pilates studio in NSW. I believe the Pilates Reformer is an exceptional resource for helping women with sensitive pelvic health—particularly those in postpartum and prolapse categories—regain their functionality and beyond.

I am also developing a pathway for women recovering from prolapse surgery to safely work towards exercising independently, whether in general fitness classes or through their own independent programs.
