Bladder Dysfunction
Examples of bladder dysfunction:
- Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI)
- Overactive Bladder (OAB)
- Urgency and Urge Incontinence (UI)
- Mixed Incontinence (MUI)
- Bladder Pain Syndrome (BPS) and Interstitial Cystitis (IC)
Bladder conditions often present as urine leakage or a loss of control. However, they can also involve difficulty in emptying the bladder, pain during urination (even in the absence of a UTI), or simply a sudden, intense, and overwhelming urge to urinate. It's important to note that not all bladder conditions result in leakage, yet can be equally distressing.
A bladder diary is a valuable starting point for understanding these conditions. It captures how your bladder behaves, what triggers your symptoms, and the balance of fluid intake and output. If you're considering this approach, please feel free to request one of my specialised bladder diaries. I can provide it to you before our initial consultation, helping to expedite your treatment process.
