Anna Geraets
BHSc (Physiotherapy)
PGCertHSc (Women's Health)
I am an experienced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, specialising in Pelvic and Women's Health. In my clinical practice, I have enjoyed effectively incorporating Clinical Pilates into individualised rehabilitation programs, primarily conducting one-on-one sessions and small group classes on the reformer.
Since 2016, I have enjoyed the challenge of balancing my career and motherhood, all while raising three beautiful children (and managing three mischievous cats). Navigating the distinct challenges of birthing two children in under two years, and then welcoming another at 39, has provided me with valuable insights into the uniquely diverse demands that each journey entails.

My Clinical Experience
My career began after graduating from AUT in 2008. I’ve since worked in private practice clinics and Pilates studios across New Zealand and Australia. From 2013 to 2019 I owned and operated my own clinic and Pilates studio in Newcastle, NSW.
I returned to Auckland New Zealand with my young family in 2019. I completed my Post Graduate Certificate of Health Science (Women’s Health) at Auckland University in 2025.
Research is the foundation of my Pelvic and Women's Health practice. I have completed the majority of my coursework through Australian programs, including the WHTA modules on Introductory Pelvic Health, Pelvic Organ Prolapse (POP) and Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI), Persistent Pelvic Pain, Overactive Bladder (OAB), Anorectal Dysfunction, and advanced pessary fittings. I also participate in annual research updates to stay current in the field.
As a musculoskeletal physiotherapist my clinical style has always been “hands-on”, utilising techniques such as massage and trigger point dry needling in order to achieve improvements in movement and body awareness. I then rely on exercise and Pilates to consolidate optimal movement, postural awareness and strengthening.
I am registered with the Physiotherapy Board NZ, ACC, PNZ, and the PNZ PWMH SIG. I am also registered with Southern Cross Easy Claim for onsite claiming.
